Angels and the Believers 4

1. They shade the shaheed with their wings

Jabir narrated that his father was presented to the Messenger of Allah after his dead body was mutilated. I wanted to uncover his face but some people told me not to. We then heard some women weeping. The Messenger of Allah said: “Why are you weeping? The angels are still providing shade for him until this moment!” (Bukhari – Muslim)

2. The angels who brought the ark of covenant (at Taboot)

al Baqarah 2: 248

And their Prophet (Samuel A.S.) said to them: Verily! The sign of His Kingdom is that there shall come to you At-Tâbût (a wooden box), wherein is Sakinah[] (peace and reassurance) from your Lord and a remnant of that which Mûsâ (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron) left behind, carried by the angels. Verily, in this is a sign for you if you are indeed believers. (248)

Allah has said that its the angels who brought to the Children of Israel at that time a wooden box known as at Tabut to reassure them, so that they may know that Taloot (saul) was chosen by Allah, so they should follow him and obey him.

3. The angels will protect Makkah and Madeenah from the dajjal

Reported in Saheeh Muslim from Fatimah bint Qays, from the story of Tameem ad Daari, in which it says the Dajjal said

“I am al Maseeh ad Dajaal. Soon I will be granted permission to emerge and will emerge and travel throughout the earth. There will be no town which I will not enter, during  a period of forty days, apart from Makkah and Teebah. they are both forbidden from me;  every time I try to enter one of them, I will be met by an angel with an unsheathed sword in his hand, who will prevent me from entering it. At every gate there is an angel guarding it.”

Fatimah bint Quays said:

“The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasalam said, striking the minbar with his stick, “This is Teebah, This is Teebah, this is Teebah,” meaning al Madeenah.”

Bukhaari narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasalam said:

“The terror of al Maseeh ad Dajaal will not enter Madeenah. At that time it will have seen seven gates, at each of which will be two angels.”

4. Eesaa will descend in the company of the angels

In Sunan Tirmidhi, it is narrated from an Nawaas ibn Sam’aan that in the hadith about the dajjal, the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasalam said,

“Whilst he is like that, “Eesa ibn Maryam will come down at the white minaret, in the east of Damascus, wearing two garments lightly dyed with saffron, placing his hands on the wings of two angels”.

5. The angels spread their wings over as Shaam

It is narrated that Zayd ibn Thabit al Ansaari said:

“I heard the Messenger of ALlah sallallahu alihi wasalam say,”How blessed is Ash Shaam (present day Syria, Jordan and Palestine) how blessed is ash Shaam! They said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, why is that?’, He said, ‘The angels spread their wings over ash Shaams.”

6. The reward in coinciding with the angels

It is narrated in Sahhehayn (Bukhari and Muslim) that the Messenger of Allah sallalalhu alaihi wasalam said:

“When the Imam says Ameen, say Ameen, for whoever’s saying Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

In Saheeh al Bukhari:

“If one of you says Ameen and the angels in heaven says Ameen, and they coincide with one another, all his previous sins will be forgiven.”

In Saheeh al Bukhari it is narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi salam said:

“When the Imaam says ‘Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah,’ say, ;Rabbanaa wa laka’l-hamd.’ Whoever’s words coincide with those of the angels, all his previous sins will be forgiven.”
