Ramadhan Lapbook 3

books This is the third page of our lapbook. I made a few pockets. On each pocket is a question and in each pocket are cuttings of what the answers to the questions are.

Haziq and Sya each had to take turn answering the questions. So they answered either by what they remembered (from our past lessons) and mostly also what we discussed impromptu.

Pocket No 1
Who are exempted from fasting?

  • Pregnant people
  • Baru beranak (own word)
  • Menses
  • Breastfeeding
  • Children
  • Travellers
  • Mad people
  • Really ill people

We also include a hadith for this pocket

Narrated by Aishah r.a., the wife of the prophet s.a.w. : Hamza bin AMir Al-Aslami, as he used to observe saum often, asked the prophet s.a.w., should I observe saum while traveling? The prophet s.a.w. replied, you may observe saum if you wish and you may not observe saum if you wish.

Pocket no 2

What breaks your fast?

  • Intentionally vomitting
  • Intentionally eating or drinking
  • faint
  • Taking medicine
  • Tube feeding
  • bleeding before or during birth
  • menses

Pocket no 3

Good deeds that I can do

  • prepare for iftar
  • help ibu clean
  • be helpful to people
  • sweep the floor for ibu
  • derma
  • tolong ibu basuh pinggan
  • be nice to people
  • baca quran
  • tarawikh prayers

The topic on the good deeds was perhaps the most fun of all because the deeds that you can do are endless. We started of by reading this hadith

Narrated by Abu Huraira r.a. : Allah’s messenger s.a.w. said (Allah says about the fasting person), ‘he has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The saum is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.’

Pocket No 4

What do we learn from fasting?

  • taqwa
  • we learned to be closer to Allah
  • patience
  • good behaviour
  • learn how the poor suffer
  • to control ourself
  • to be generous
  • to be grateful
  • behave myself

This is a slightly harder for them because they have to thinkfrom what they had actually learn. I assisted of course.

Pocket no 5

What I like about Ramadhan

  • I like Ramadhan food (oh yeah!)
  • Iftar time (remind me to put in the nas here next time)
  • I learn more about Ramadhan
  • It is a big chance to get closer to Allah
  • Stomach gets thin (I didn’t influence this in any way :P)
  • More time to do homework

These are mostly their words. 😀
